Beanstack: Your passport to Reading Adventures at your Library
JCPL is excited to be a part of the Beanstack family!
Beanstack is a website and mobile app which allows individuals and families to track their reading throughout the year and take part in exciting challenges at their library.
This online service will provide participants with the tools to track reading goals and earn badges by completing goals and attending library activities. Users also have the ability to register multiple family members online with one account, providing a fun and free way for the whole family to engage with education all year long.
How to Get Started
To establish an account on Beanstack, follow this link https://myjcpl.beanstack.org.
You only need to register once for an account, then the system remembers you.
Register your whole family under one log-in/password — an adult caregiver creates the account and then adds each child who is participating.
Tweens and teens can create an individual account and independently record their reading.
How to Access Beanstack
On your computer (PC), just go to https://myjcpl.beanstack.org. You’ll probably want to bookmark it for easy access all summer.
On your phone, use the free Beanstack Tracker App for your iPhone/iOS device or your Android device — you can log your minutes on the app, and it even has a timer!

And stay tuned: Beanstack will also be our platform for our 2021 Summer Reading Program
More information will be available here and at our Summer Reading page as we get closer to the program.
This summer, families will be able to track their summer reading using Beanstack's clean, user-friendly, mobile-first interface. The service will combat "summer slide" by helping families log their reading and complete fun, educational activities.
Sign-ups will start soon
There will be a paper option for those who do not want to use technology, but we encourage you to try Beanstack and see how helpful (and fun) it can be.
