Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) correctly and on time is sometimes seen as being complicated and time consuming.

But at the Rensselaer FAFSA site on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, financial aid experts will be ready with FREE help, so you and your family can file the FAFSA financial aid form ONLINE in one afternoon.

Saint Joseph's College will be one of 37 sites in Indiana this year to host College Goal Sunday, a program that helps college-bound Indiana students who qualify for undergraduate admission to a college or technical school in 2015, and their families, to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

These workshops are being held around the state at 2 p.m. local time on Feb. 22, 2015 and provide on-site help from financial aid experts, primarily from Indiana colleges and universities. The program will begin promptly at 2 p.m., and most sites will close by 4 p.m. Saint Joseph's College is in the Central Time Zone.

Why It's Important

Most colleges, universities and vocational/technical schools in the nation require students seeking federal financial aid, including grants and loans, to complete the FAFSA. Your FAFSA form must be received by the federal processor on or before March 10 to be considered "on-time" for Indiana state grant funding. 21st Century Scholars are also required to complete and submit a FAFSA form to claim their 21st Century Scholarships. College Goal Sunday will help all college-bound students, including 21st Century Scholars, complete the FAFSA properly.

Now in its 26th year, College Goal Sunday is a charitable collaboration involving the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association (ISFAA), in cooperation with Learn More Indiana, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, and the 21st Century Scholars program. College Goal Sunday is co-funded by Lilly Endowment Inc., USA Funds and Indiana Secondary Market for Education Loans, Inc.

The Saint Joseph's College FAFSA site is located on the Rensselaer campus, 1498 S. College Ave., (Click link for map) in the Evans Arts & Science Building. FAFSA online will be available at this site.
