Volunteering at the library is a terrific thing to put on a resume or a school application, and allows you to gain valuable knowledge of books, resources, social skills, and much more.
With so much going on at the library, you are bound to find that there is always something interesting to do. Wouldn't you like to be a part of the excitement?
Volunteer responsibilities may include:
- Helping with programs
- Cleaning toys
- Arranging library scrapbook/ photos
- ESL literacy, Spanish services
- Reading to others
- Decorating and preparing crafts
- Preserving historical documents
Interested in becoming a volunteer?
If so, please ask for an application at the front desk. We will then determine a schedule and task list that is good for both you and us. We will also periodically have workshops to inquire more about the program, learn the essentials to volunteering, and refresh your skills.
You must be at least 11 years of age or older to volunteer. An interview will be scheduled which will include filling out an application and discussing time commitments, skills, and interests. Individuals under the age of 18 must obtain parental permission.
