Teen Read Week 2013 is October 14-19, and the Jasper County Public Library is celebrating this national event with drawings for prizes and special programs, designed just for teens.
During Teen Read Week, the DeMotte Library invites teens to come in and enjoy crafts and other fun activities throughout the week. Stay tuned for more info! Also, on Tuesday, October 15 @ 7 pm, teens in grades 6-12 are invited to participate, along with the library’s adult Book Group, in a review of “Ashfall” by Mike Mullin. This book is the selected title for Northwest Indiana’s seven county reading initiative, Books to Bridge the Region. Call the library to reserve your copy. The Rensselaer Library invites teens in grades 6-12 to check out books and enter their name in a drawing for prizes, which will be held at the end of the week. Also, on Tuesday, October 15 @ 6 pm, teens in grades 6-12 are invited to “Chat and Chew” for a discussion of Books to Bridge the Region title, “Ashfall” by Mike Mullin. The Wheatfield Library will celebrate Teen Read Week with a drawing for a $20 gift card. Just check out books during the week and enter to win! Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to celebrate Teen Read Week by coming to a Gaming Program on Tues. , Oct. 15 @ 6 pm. Registration is required.
